Angels Opening Day Roster - Update

With opening day one day away, the Angels have finalized their roster. I spoke about it last week (Ranking The Angels) but some injuries have crept up, and a couple have gone on injured reserve, allowing a few new guys to start the season on the big league roster.

Scott Kazmir and Reggie Willits have been placed on injured reserve opening up roster spots for catcher Bobby Wilson and outfielder Terry Evans.

Kazmir should only miss 1 start (replaced by Matt Palmer) as he continues to get stretched out recovering from shoulder stiffness. He's scheduled to throw an extended spring training game today followed by a rehab start on Friday. Hopefully everything goes well. When Kazmir comes back, expect Palmer to drop to AAA as he still has options, where as Wilson and Evans do not. It'll get interesting when Willits comes off the DL......
